First confirmed case of H1N1 in a dog

A 13-year-old mixed breed dog is doing well after being diagnosed as the first dog in the United States with the HINI virus.  The dog became sick after his owner was sick and confirmed with H1N1 infection. It is thought that humans are transmitting this virus to animals.
