Rescue Rewards Partner Saves Thousands of Lives

Just about every week throughout the year, dozens of dogs and cats are loaded into a van and driven from kill shelters in other states to the safety of rescue groups in Colorado.  Thanks to Colorado Animal Rescue Express (C.A.R.E.), these pets are given a new leash on life.  C.A.R.E. recently became a Hale Rescue Rewards partner, and we are very honored to have them join the team!  We hope you will take time to read more about this very worthwhile organization. C.A.R.E.’s directors sent us this nice note recently:

C.A.R.E., a 501c3 public charity, appreciates the support and recognition of Hale Pet Door.   From inception, June 20, 2007 through April 12, 2010, over 6300 animals have been transported on C.A.R.E. vans from high kill shelters in Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas to Colorado based rescue groups and adoptive homes.  Additionally, our Jake’s Fund has contributed to the medical care of more than 400 homeless pets.   Last, C.A.R.E. is helping to organize and finance spay/neuter events in rural and low income areas where pet overpopulation is a crisis.   Thank you, Hale Pet Door, for your contribution to our many programs.
