Rescue Rewards Group of the Week
Hale Pet Door has been sponsoring the Rescue Rewards program for many years. In recent years it has blossomed and we currently have 780 participating rescues, shelters and humane societies with more signing up each week.
To honor our Rescue Rewards partners we are going to feature one each week on our home page in a news article. Our first rescue group to be featured is "Freedom Service Dogs".
Freedom Service Dogs (FSD) enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom training them for individual client needs. FSD provides lifetime support to its client-dog partners to encourage increased independence and the loving, therapeutic bond between canine and human. Freedom Service Dogs is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has received numerous commendations, national press features, and government resolutions in support of our innovative work.
We do not breed dogs for the purposes of our mission. All of the dogs we use are rescues, almost entirely from shelters across the Metro Denver area and the Front Range. Any dog that does not fulfill all the comprehensive training requirements is found an adoptive home. Helping disabled vets is among our various focuses.
