Hale Pet Door offers three different pet door insert models for screens to accommodate your specific needs:
Half-Inch or Less Model
Designed for frames 1/2″ or thinner, this model has legs on one side and the bottom designed to slide over an existing screen door or window frame. The other side features a proprietary spline frame with channels that hold the screen mesh securely. With channels on both the interior and exterior sides, it’s fully reversible for left or right corner installation.
Cut Model
This model of screen pet door features legs custom trimmed on one side and the bottom to fit your desired location. The other side has a proprietary spline frame with channels to attach to the screen spline and mesh of your door or window. This is the most common model used for lanais, screen porches, and sidelights.
Note: Once cut, this custom item is only returnable for 50% credit toward the purchase of another pet door. Please take care when measuring and ordering.
Universal Model
Our universal pet door for screen option has spline channels on all four sides. It’s fully reversible for left or right corner installation, or directly in the middle of your screen mesh with no drill holes needed in your screen door or window frame. With the spline and mesh holding the pet door in place on the top and one side, or on all four sides. While metal retainer clips secure the other side and bottom or help to hold the spline in place on all four sides to your existing screen door or window frame.
By default, all flaps are our new textured/frosted ones. If you would like the classic clear flaps, please add it in the notes.
