PetConnect Rescue was founded in 2005, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and has evolved into a vibrant animal rescue organization. PetConnect Rescue is a non breed-specific organization that responds to email and phone pleas for help for dogs and cats imminently slated for euthanasia. We rescue these animals from over-extended local shelters as well as rural shelters from West Virginia to Georgia. PetConnect fosters animals from these high kill shelters until they can be placed with a permanent family. All of our animals are spayed and neutered at an appropriate age and receive full medical care. The placement process is a critical component of our mission as the personalities of both the animals and the adopters are carefully considered.
