The mission of Second Chance is to provide compassionate, rehabilitative care to orphaned, ill, and injured wild animals, and to advise our community on helping animals. Each year, concerned citizens and animal services officers bring Second Chance about 3,000 distressed native wild animals — songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, squirrels, groundhogs, chipmunks, bats, rabbits, turtles, and a host of other native species — for medical treatment, attentive care, and release.301-926-9453
