Perkins Animal Control is run by one full time Animal Control Officer, one part time Kennel Assistant, and a volunteer Rescue Coordinator. Animal Control works closely with the Chief of Police. The Perkins Animal Shelter is the municipal animal control facility for the City of Perkins. We have a small, partially enclosed kennel building with 12 permanent runs and 2 temporary runs. Our primary mission is to enforce animal related codes within the City Limits of Perkins, OK. This includes housing stray and unwanted animals. We are not a no-kill facility, but we pride ourselves in working with many non-profit rescues as well as foster homes to help give each of our animals the best chance possible at finding an adoptive family.(405) 547-2445
