The Lockhart Animal Shelter houses about 70 dogs and puppies and 30 cats and kittens daily. An average of 200 animals come to the shelter monthly. These animals come from the City of Lockhart, Texas, and Caldwell County. The animal shelter is funded through the budgets of the City and County, and donations. We also maintain a Guardian Angel List of ‘special needs’ animals of which we discount or waive the adoption fee in leiu of a good home!512-376-3336
