Disaster Alert: Animals suffering in storm-ravaged South
National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day was founded after Hurricane Katrina left so many animal victims in its wake. It is observed early in the month of May each year.
Since next week is National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day, Hale Pet Door is taking the opportunity to help spread the word about what you can do to help.
The American Humane Association recently sent an email to its many subscribers detailing information about the many animals that are suffering in the southern United States as a result of recent destructive storms that ripped across the country. Included in the email is a link to donate to their Red Star Animal Emergency Services Team to help provide rescue, shelter and care for the innocent animal victims.
