Hale Pet Door donates to help victims of Black Forest Fire
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is a valued rescue rewards partner of Hale Pet Door. In 2012, they helped rescue many animals from the Waldo Canyon fire. Unfortunately this year, Colorado Springs has once again been hit with a major forest fire in the area and The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is again being called on to help.
Below is an excerpt from the letter that Hale Pet Door just sent to them:
Dear HSPPR,
All of us at Hale Pet Door are sending best wishes and gratitude to HSPPR, along with this check for $500.
We hope these funds will help with your efforts in saving and protecting pets affected by the Black Forest Fire. I know that last year after the Waldo Canyon fire, you had a special fund set up to purchase equipment needed for fire preparedness. We made a donation at that time hoping Colorado had seen its share of fires. Sadly, this has not been the case.
If you would like this donation to go to a similar fund, that is fine. Otherwise, please use it as you see fit to help pets affected by the fire or to help replenish your coffers.
Thank you for stepping up - yet again - during such a tragic and difficult time.
